  1. My sister is OBSESSED with this song (about 2 months about everyone else) so guess what she’s watching when she comes home with the pizza 🙂 That’s only if she gets me a veggie one, otherwise no blurred lines for her.

    1. I couldn’t help but like the song when I first heard it, even though I didn’t appreciate that original rap part 😉 but then different versions of the video/lyrics caught my eye and, just…no *yuck* but this Jimmy Fallon one is fun and clean, so I don’t mind promoting it 🙂

      1. Well, I’m not ashamed to say like it 🙂 It’s got a great riff and beat, it’s a great song to dance to. Most pop songs have the most ridiculous lyrics, many can be interpreted as offensive, but this song was so popular this summer it got a lot more press and stick from peeps.
This version is wonderful and I wish I had one of those banana rattles so I could join in 😉
BTW pizza arrived, to my satisfaction so Magzy got to see it too. Now everyone’s happy 😉

  2. I think this is very, very clever and wonderful assembly of caps of John and Carol. But I have trouble with this song, its misogynistic associations and its rape (read: stolen) of a classic Marvin Gaye. For me, its a bit difficult to get past that, even when the charming Jimmy Fallon and The Roots embrace it and create a nifty version with creepy Thicke.

    1. in the original version I do not like the rap portion, it’s crude and just not my style. the majority of the song though, I have no problem with; I don’t see it as a woman-hater song. above all though, the beat moves me; oftentimes against my will *laughs*

      1. I think what’s nice about the picspam (for me, anyway) is that it totally contradicts the vibe of the song. That’s why it’s cute …

  3. I haven’t heard this song in its entirely, and even when with all the Miley tongue and giant rubber hand assault, I couldn’t even figure out the riff because she was too distracting.

But seeing John Standring and Carol pics is really refreshing 🙂
