A Reasonable Explanation

Alphabet Movie challenge: day 10

Just right for a rainy day

Answer: Guy of Gisborne

whoops! I mean Robin HoodΒ  πŸ˜›

let's not kid ourselves, no one cares about Robin!
let’s not kid ourselves, no one cares about Robin!

This show is addicting

in an unexplainable way.

say Good-Bye to rational thought
say Good-Bye to rational thought

When I was in the Twilight fandom (don’t judge!) we used to joke that the pages of the books had to be laced with heroin and the movies full of subliminal messages because there was no other reasonable explanation for why we loved it the way we did.

(operative word being did, it does eventually run it’s course πŸ˜‰ )

we all have a past, Guy...
we all have a past, Guy…

Robin Hood is kind of like that,

except there is a reasonable explanation

Guy is not the only reason

to watch, though.

there's lessons & stuff buried in there!
there’s lessons & stuff buried in there!

Unrequited love, betrayal, bravery, cowardice, guilt, redemption, hypocrisy,

and even magic arrows!

not yours, Guy...Robin's *winks*
not yours, Guy…Robin’s *winks*

poisoned apples

but plenty of other

poisoned things…

certainly enough to keep one occupied

on a rainy day.

take your coat off and stay awhile
take your coat off and stay awhile

get comfortable, relax
get comfortable, relax

...and smoulder!
…and smoulder!

  1. *wibble*

(For all the Guy-haters, I would like to point out that Robin is a major stalker. He showed up Every Single Time Guy and Marian were about to alone, thus frustrating not only Guy but legions of fans who wanted a little make-out action.)

  2. Just started following your blog. Love it. πŸ™‚ Can’t wait to see S2 &3. Yes, the show is definitely about Guy of Gisborne! The last 3 screens are hot!

You’ve Got mail is my rainy day movie too or background noise movie.

  3. One of my favorite images is the one you have here – Guy’s reaction in “He stole my horse?!”, as well as the sarcastic wave. And I could watch him eat that apple all day long. Thank you for this.

  4. Happy Birthday! This is my first comment, just found your site a couple weeks back. Your posts are superb and just what this RA obsessed gurl needs to get through the day. Someday I’d like to edit all of Guy’s scenes together and watch them in a marathon, but I’d probably die of longing for him….Anyway, thanks!

    1. thank you for the b-day wishes & I’m glad you’re enjoying the blog πŸ˜€ editing Guy’s scenes all together sounds like a very good idea!

Hey! you guys w/know-how and unlimited amounts of time: we have a project for you…

  5. The first two gifs just make me go all mushy. Well they all do actually but those two especially πŸ˜‰

I love the way you keep up the pretence this isn’t all about RA (well, when you remember πŸ˜‰ )

    1. I *do* have other interests, I swear! Richard is more fun to talk about though πŸ˜‰

confession: I originally typed “funner” instead of “more fun”, fully expecting Spell-Check to yell at me for it, but it didn’t 😐 now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go find some fishes and deers to annoy…

    1. I haven’t quite figured out who Robin is yet, maybe he’s disguised as Much? πŸ˜› because folklore Robin isn’t nearly as annoying and spoiled as *this* Robin is πŸ˜•
